The Science Behind Conductivity

Electrical conductivity: 10⁻2 – 100 S/cm

This platform of industrial-grade platinum curable silicone (VMQ) rubber contains patented technology offered exclusively by NovationSi®. The platform highlights light shielding, static dissipation, and grounding electrical performance. This product is available as a peroxide- or platinum-cured 1- or 2-part compound for additional shelf-life.

Features and benefits:
  • Low electrical resistance at low voltages (3 to 9 volts)
  • Conductive to 5 ohm·cm resistivity
  • Broad service temperature range: -50°C to +200°C

This platform of industrial-grade platinum curable silicone (VMQ) rubber contains patented technology offered exclusively by NovationSi®. The platform highlights low electrical resistance at low voltages (3 to 9 volts) which provides excellent preservation of electronic signals. This product is available as a 1- or 2-part compound for additional shelf-life.

This grade is designed for use in select healthcare related medical devices, such as neuro-diagnostic and neuro-therapeutic applications. The platform highlights low electrical resistance at low voltages (3 to 9 volts) which provides excellent preservation of electronic signals. This product is available as a 1- or 2-part compound for additional shelf-life.

This platform of platinum cured fluorosilicone (FVMQ) rubber contains patented technology offered exclusively by NovationSi®. The platform highlights low electrical resistance at low voltages (3 to 9 volts) which provides excellent preservation of electronic signals. The addition of highly fluorinated polymers provides increased resistance to fuels, oils, solvents, and harsh chemicals. It can be used in certain healthcare related medical devices for both neuro-diagnostic and neuro-therapeutic applications. This product is available as a 1- or 2-part compound for additional shelf-life.

Electrical conductivity: 102 – 104 S/cm

A flexible, soft elastomer engineered for demanding applications with excellent service temperatures. This platform of peroxide cured silicone (VMQ) rubber is formulated to meet MIL-DTH 83528H Type B requirements and incorporates patented NovationSi® filler technologies that absorb and reflect electromagnetic waves. The platform delivers excellent Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding and circuitry preservation while providing a broad temperature range of -55°C to +160°C.
